Privacy Policy

Smoky Cat Software Ltd. takes your privacy very seriously. All data entered into or recorded by our apps remains within your control at all times, and is only transmitted from the device at your explicit request, for example sending an email, uploading a file to Dropbox, or automatic backup of your device to iCloud. (Connected third-party services such as Strava may make background network requests to maintain your authenticated session.)

What Information does Smoky Cat Software Ltd. collect?

Other than data you choose to import from a connected service such as Strava, which is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to or accessible by Smoky Cat Software Ltd.. We do not collect any information about you unless you contact us via email or our website.

How does Smoky Cat Software Ltd. use the information you provide?

Information you provide when contacting us will be used to respond to your query.

Does Smoky Cat Software Ltd. share your information with others?

We do not share your information with third parties except where you explicitly direct us to: for example, when you export a workout to Strava or Dropbox, or back up your device to iCloud, or where required to by law. Data shared in this way is then governed by that service’s own privacy policy.

Changes

From time to time we may make changes to this policy, which will be posted on our website.

Strava

Heart Graph can optionally connect to your Strava account. This integration is entirely opt-in and can be disconnected at any time via Settings → Strava → Disconnect.

What data is accessed: When connected, Heart Graph may read your Strava activities (including heart rate, time, distance, activity type and name) solely to allow you to import them into the app. When you choose to, Heart Graph may also export workouts from the app to your Strava account.

How data is used and stored: Strava activities you choose to import are converted into Heart Graph’s own format and stored locally on your device. Once imported, this data is independent of Strava: it is not cached Strava data and is not subject to Strava’s retention requirements. Exported workouts are uploaded to Strava at your request, may involve transferring data outside the UK/EEA, and are thereafter governed by https://www.strava.com/legal/privacy.

Data collected by Strava: When Heart Graph communicates with Strava’s servers, for example during authentication, browsing your activity list, importing, or exporting, Strava may collect data about those interactions, such as which API endpoints were accessed, timestamps, IP addresses, and device or client information. This data is collected by Strava, not by Smoky Cat Software Ltd., and is governed by https://www.strava.com/legal/privacy.

Revoking access: You can disconnect Heart Graph from Strava at any time via Settings → Strava → Disconnect. This removes your Strava credentials from the device. Previously imported workouts are retained as app data unless you delete them manually – you can delete an imported workout at any time by swiping to delete it in the workout list.
